Yuletide 2022 Letter

Hello, Yuletide creator! Below are things I like about my requested ships, as well as thoughts on the freeforms. All of these prompts are just suggestions; I am typically very easy to please. I like a lot of things (as you can probably tell from my sign-up), and I’m sure I’ll love whatever you come up with! Don’t feel boxed in by my prompts; if you have some inspiration from my freeforms that take you in a different direction than what I might write in the prompt; go for it!

I enjoy any rating, from general to smut and everything in between. I love shipfic, but I also enjoy character-driven fic, gen fic, friendship, worldbuilding, whatever floats your boat. If you write explicit sex, I don’t care who tops or who bottoms, and if you go kink/BDSM route, I don’t care what kind of kinks they are into as long as they aren’t in my DNW list. I enjoy shibari, light impact play, praise, D/S dynamics (I don’t care who doms who), bondage, teasing, lingerie (on both parties), voyeurism, sem-public sex, and orgasm delay/control.

For ALL fandoms: I don’t need all the characters in my signup to be in the story. I don’t need only characters in the tagset to be in the story.

Tropes I Like:
A/B/O - I generally enjoy A/B/O, usually when there is an emphasis on the courtship phase of it. I don’t have many preferences around who is Alpha/Beta/Omega, but I do want there to be consent and enjoyment between the pairs as they get together. IE no forced mating, etc.I really enjoy smut in this setting, as well as emphasis on mating bites and scents.

Fake Dating - Nnnnggghh. Be it for a mission or to impress a relative or to get a ticket to an exclusive event where you have to be with someone - I’m down. Give me all the awkward first kisses that turn out way better than you thought it would. This trope also goes amazingly well with ‘Only One Bed.’

First Time with Partner of Same Gender - I love the idea of Character A not realizing they are into the same gender until Character B came along. Give me all the hesitant, unsure looks and possible flirting, the want to touch but unsure how, and just general confusion about their sexuality and feeling that chemistry they never expected to feel with the same gender.

Kink Discovery - I really enjoy a character experiencing a kink for the first time, maybe something they never really thought about before, and discovering how much they really enjoy it.

Only One Bed - God I adore this so much. You have no idea. Those moments where they want to touch but aren’t sure, gradually moving towards each other? Yes plz.

Sex Pollen - I’m all in on this one. Many of my fandoms have magic or some kind of other worldly element where they can stumble upon a horny spell or plant. Give me that delicious frantic sex, followed by awkwardness and tension until they admit all.

Shop AU - I LOVE shop AU’s. Coffee shops, magic shops, book stores, retail shops - I’m down for it. I’m fine if the gang works at one, or one MC works at the shop and the other is a customer.

Soulmates - I ADORE soulmate fics. Marks or threads or soulmate magic - I’m down for any and all of it.

Boy Meets World

Jack Hunter & Eric Matthews (BMW) - GOD, these two. They dated the best Disney would let them. Check out this video if you missed all the subtext. I beg of you to give us another look at what could have happened with these two if things were just a little bit different. I’d also be fine if you want to lean into the earlier seasons of Eric, where he wasn’t quite as dumb as the later seasons.

What I love about Jack and Eric is how silly they are, how much they help each other grow throughout the series, and their chemistry. I’d love to see more of these characters exploring their sexuality and discovering new things about themselves. I’d also love any alternative glimpses of what could have been in the future for them - what if Eric didn’t become a senator, and instead worked in a coffee shop forever? What if Jack didn’t quit the peace corps and opened up a cat rescue instead?

The Adjustment Bureau

Any - I love the romance of this movie. David and Elise’s chemistry and love story is everything to me, and I am SO VERY enchanted by the possibility behind Harry. What is his story? How long has he been doing this? How did he get into this line of work? What happens after the movie ends? Does he still work with David? How does the President of the US having a direct line to change minds affect David and Harry and Elise? Or the world?

As for the Chairman… who are they? Did we meet them in the movie? What are their thoughts about the bureau? How did they become the Chairman? And why did they decide to make an exception for David?

Edge of Tomorrow

Any - I LOVE this movie. The romance, the action, the bad-ass that Rita embodies from head to toe - I just wanted more at the end. I’d love an account of Rita’s time with the reset ability at Verdun, or anything about Rita, really. I’d also love to see what you think might happen after the movie ended - maybe Will and Rita sharing a beer while Will tells her what happened and gazes at her all starry-eyed. How will Rita react when Will says her middle name?

Mayor of Kingstown

Fandom specific DNW: Romance between Iris/Mike that does not address Iris’s past sexual trauma.

Any - I really enjoy the grittiness and darkness of this show, and how the characters try to do what they feel is best in the world of Kingstown. I would love to read a take on the history of any of these characters - how did they get to where they are now? What was Mike’s time in prison like? How did Kyle meet Tracy? What was it like for the three brothers, growing up with their parents?

I would be fine with platonic or romantic fic between Iris and Mike, but I would not want any ship fic that does not at least mention/recognize Iris’s past sexual assault and her recovery from that. (IE you don’t have to get super in-depth about it, but don’t pretend it just didn’t happen. Even a one-line mention of her in therapy about it or whatever would be fine. I know, these characters would never get therapy…)

I'd love to read some injury or trauma recovery (because these characters have a shit-ton), any of them adopting a pet, caring for each other, bonding moments between Kyle and Mike, Mike and Iris stargazing, Iris comforting Mike after a bad nightmare, Mike cooking for himself or Iris or Kyle, etc. I'd love to read some happiness for these characters, OR give me some super angsty angst, like fucking drown me in it. Or anything in between, MoK is an interesting fandom for me in that I'm open to most interpretations.

In terms of smut, in terms of Mike/Iris, I’m not as crazy about it in this fandom unless it’s something regarding Iris (and MIke) healing from their past traumas. Hurt/comfort is something I enjoy, and these characters have soooo much hurt. I would read so much of comfort for these two, even if it is rather impossible in their world.

I’m all for smut in other situations - if you wanna give me some fic about Iris trying to masturbate after all her trauma or Mike jerking one off to thinking about Rebecca's car, go for it.

TiMER

Any - I LOVE soulmates, and this movie hits me right in the feels. I love the idea of this system and how people try to work around it. I’d LOVE worldbuilding on this - there’s got to be message boards of people comparing the times on their timers, apps for finding each other, that kind of thing. I’d love a tale from someone that works at the facility that puts in timers, I’d imagine they have crazy stories to tell.

For the characters, I’d LOVE a story about Steph and when she finally met her person. I remember a deleted scene where she found him on the phone, and I want to know what happened after that! I’d also love to hear your thoughts on what might happen with Oona or Mikey after the events of the movie - or give me a prequel of them growing up, surrounded by timers that work. Or maybe Mikey gives in and finally gets a timer… what does it say?
